ROBERT  TSENG

Robert graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors in biochemistry from New York University in 2018. During his undergraduate career, he was mentored by Dr. Nadrian Seeman in the field of DNA nanotechnology. Afterwards, he completed a post-baccalaureate IRTA fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in 2019, working under the mentorship of Dr. Wei Yang to investigate noon-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. Currently a medical student at the Stony Brook School of Medicine, his research focuses on identifying molecular mechanisms of keratin 17 that drive tumor aggression in pancreatic cancer, and disrupting these effects through rational drug design of small molecule inhibitors.
