Maura earned her bachelor's degree in Biology at Stony Brook University in 2019. She has worked in the pharmaceutical industry holding positions in microbiology and analytical chemistry labs. Currently, she works in the Molecular Genetics Lab at Stony Brook University Hospital while pursuing an advanced certificate program in Medical Molecular Biology. She started volunteering in the Shroyer Lab in since June 2022 with the aim to connect her scientific background with translational research in medicine.
