YUAN YANG, MS

​

Yuan obtained her bachelor's in Clinical Medicine from Harbin Medical University in China in 2017. She graduated from her master's in Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2018 where she focused on understanding the relationships between NPPA/NPPB SNPs and cardiovascular disease outcomes in the longevity cohort (LLFS) under Allison Kuipers guidance. In 2019, she finished her internship at the same university where she utilized  the Redcap database management tool to study muscle mobility and aging, SOMMA.

She recently joined the Public Health Ph.D. program at Stony Brook University and she is currently training in our lab to focus on identifying diagnostic biomarkers for urothelial carcinoma using bioinformatic tools like differential gene expression analysis and gene set enrichment analysis.
