JI DONG (KAREN) BAI, MD

 

Karen completed her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Toronto in 2012. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in diabetic drug discovery under Dr Xiao-Yan Wen, (http://stmichaelshospitalresearch.ca/researchers/xiao-yan-wen/), at St Michael’s Hospital, a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto. Karen joined the Escobar-Hoyos/Shroyer lab in 2016 via Stony Brook Medicine’s Scholarly Concentrations Program. She is currently a Pathology resident at Stony Brook Medicine.

 

Karen is interested in investigating diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarkers in uterine cancer. Her most recent presentation include her poster on keratin 17 as a negative prognostic biomarker in endometrial carcinoma, presented at the American Society for Investigative Pathology Annual Meeting in 2018.
